In response to the Internet circulation of the picture and ensuing media attention, Cyrus launched an announcement of apology on April 27, 2008: "I took half in a photograph shoot that was alleged to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the images and studying the story, I feel so embarrassed. I by no means supposed for any of this to occur and i apologize to my followers who I care so deeply about." Leibovitz also launched a press release: "I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted. The photograph is a simple, traditional portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I believe it is rather beautiful." On April 28, 2008, Vanity Fair revealed their full interview and picture shoot with Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus, as nicely because the behind-the-scenes photographs, on their webpage. Before kissing her goodbye and leaving for work, Ed instructed her to arrange a meal that could safely simmer with out attention, and to set the table for supper early in the afternoon. |
